VIRTUAL SHOWS A NEW WAY TO EXPERIENCE ART IN COCHRANE
online pharmacy cytotec Artists are looking for new ways to connect with audiences in a time when gallery shows simply aren’t possible. Town of Cochrane Arts and Culture Programmer, Jola Muran, wanted to help.
57b90c6bb5ab283fe0658da16393af8a Jola works regularly with local artists on regular shows at the Cochrane RancheHouse and the ClubHouse Activity Centre.
“We knew we wouldn’t be able to share art in person for a while,” she says. “But we can use technology and still get art out to the people of Cochrane.”
Jola decided to use the Town website to host a virtual art show: this month, the work of 12 artists affiliated with the Cochrane Art Club is featured. Now anyone can see new works in person from their own homes. Jola plans to mount a new show every month — virtually while we’re staying to home, but then in person again once restrictions are lifted.
“We don’t know when gathering restrictions will be lifted,” says Jola. “So I’m planning for at least a few more months of virtual art shows.”
